They recently changed our flight so that it is now 25 minutes later (just long enough that they didn't inform us!). So now it looks like this:
A: Flight to-->SFO-->70 minute layover to get from the domestic terminal to international-->Flight to SYD
Would you try to change it? Would they even change it? The only other reasonable option we can see would be:
B: Flight to-->Houston-->2ish hour layover-->Flight to SFO--->4ish hour layover-->Flight to SYD
We're not really doing anything the day of travel, so we can get to the airport/earlier flights fine, it's just that I'm not sure it's even any better with the rate of cancellations/delays out there. Are we opening ourselves up to more potential cancellations by adding a stop? We're traveling with two kids (ages 5 and 8) and though they are good travelers, it's been almost 3 years since we did anything long haul, so the quicker option is obviously more attractive if it actually gets us there quicker... What would you do?
Leaving from where?
The more airports transited the more chances of delay due to aircraft/summer weather issues. Harder with small kids.
