I’ve had a lot of blind eyes turned in similar situations. Although usually only 1-2 pounds over. But in my case I usually pay to ship all my groceries etc air cargo to avoid having to check in 9 qty 50 lb bags. Today apparently wasn’t your day. Which airport again?

I have a great small digital handheld scale that I got from bed bath and beyond that is incredible accurate and fits in my luggage and typically travels with me.
