Has anyone here had this issue with AA before? I'm AS MVP 100K / oneworld Emerald and when I checked in online with AA, it wants to charge me for checking in bags. I need to check in 3 bags, but not sure if I want to risk showing up at the ticket counter and being charge for all 3 bags; a total of $220. Is it just a system glitch and the ticket agent should be able to check all 3 of my bags for free? I'm thinking about booking an AS reservation for same day and if AA wants to charge me for bags, I'll just cancel the AA ticket and fly with AS instead.

I know my AS FF# is in the reservation because I'm able to select AA Main Cabin Extra seats & my name shows up on the upgrade waitlist. The reason I'm trying to flying AA is because I'm trying to use up all the flight/trip credit I have with them.
