This has nothing to do with the Marriott Bonvoy app - it has everything to do with non-participating properties. This thread title is misleading.

It's unfortunate that you need to refer to terms and conditions with hotel loyalty programs, but it is what it is. Always be aware of the terms and conditions before making a booking.
