i apologize if what i posted is old news to many of you. We were frankly really surprised by lack of disclosure when booking - which would have been a very easy thing for marriott to incorporate in site . Similar to how they say " not eligible for suite night award" on ritz carltons. Some travelers really in the know might know on their own what particular properties do not earn points/credits but i think most travelers would not. i think most would have the same expectation as us, that, if appears in the marriott app the exact same way as all the other properties that do earn points/credit with no disclosure otherwise, we would earn something. But i guess we have learned a painful lesson. Marriot has so many properties with different names and now knowing that they do not disclose clearly on their app or when booking, i just dont think we will have confidence in making bookings with them (or i guess we need to find and read through their terms and conditions, which again do not appear anywhere in app when you book, every time before we book as that can change at any time).
