I've given up on AA vegetarian meals, as they're not very good, at best. Almost invariably there's an acceptable pasta or vegtable plate or in F the FA can often put together something, such as a combination of side dishes. I usually bring a sandwich or something else to eat. If there's something good on the menu, I'll save what I brought for later. The recent vintage AA pastas aren't bad, IMO (in the old days they had much too much cheese), and they almost never run out of them on domestic flights.
