I agree with the post above, either the UK or EU plugs help keep the adapter engaged in the socket. Personally I prefer the EU adapter, the pins are usually long enough to provide adapter stability and they are easier to pack than the UK “Dryer Plug” style. Keep in mind that Apple has initiated several worldwide recalls on their Travel Adapters and eBay ( or other such sites ) may not be selling the most recent versions. https://support.apple.com/ac-wallplug-adapter.

Also, I have found that the low power (10-12w) Apple adapters seldom trip he aircraft socket protection circuits, something the cheaper knock offs tend to do. I have no personal experience with the higher power Apple power adapters.
