What was good and what was bad?

-Good
  • Bed is comfortable
  • Still fresh looking and clean
  • Concierge
  • Bar is pretty nice

  • They give you the bare mininum in terms of AMB recognition
  • No welcome gift. Just the free water
  • Staff in general seem moody or unhappy
  • Windows are so filthy still
  • So as per the previous review, I again emailed in advance asking for a room without connecting doors. I don't need an exec or barclay. At check-in was given a Barclay corner room on the 12th floor, AMB desk assured me there would be no problems. But alas...The rooms have zero sound proofing. You hear the corridor/hallway loud and clear due to there being no seal when you close the door. There is a half inch gap by the floor, which is just idiotic. Windows are not well sealed either so noise is bad from Midtown. As with the previous stay, sleep was badly affected by the lack of any sound proofing. It's disgraceful. No one cares. It's like a meat grinder.

Never again. Wanted to use an AMB voucher, but if you don't get much sleep, who cares about a discount?
I politely complained at check-out about the issues. They offered to wave the amenity fees for the three nights. Oh but how generous!
As AMB I already have free internet. As AMB I get 20 bucks to spend. We only used the 25 Daily credit once. So effectively they ripped us off also on the service recovery.
No points, no goodwill.
This Hotel is an abomination. Stay away. Location is awful for weekends, unless you are touristing.
