Passed thru MEM recently. Checkout Backstreet for a club... headed there not expecting much and was shocked. They renovated the place and added a large dance floor in a converted warehouse (30-foot ceilings, neat space). The place is beer and wine, or BYOB.

For a more relaxed atmosphere, there is Melange in the Cooper/Young area. It's a bar/restaurant that gets a mixed crowd (alot of college age hipsters).

Those are the spots I hit, and had a great time (although I was with a fun local group). Hope you have a good holiday.
