If you go north on on Sepulveda Blvd ~3 miles you'll hit The Howard Hughes Centerwhere you'll find a wealth of shopping and movie pleasures. If you want to take in something worth while in LA, I would suggest some how getting to the J Paul Getty Museum which you can easily spend the entire day, and make your feet sore enough to sleep on the flight home.
