Arrow UK to USA starting IRE - Do I need to return to origin?

Hi everyone

Cash fares are astronomical at the moment and unfortunately, business policy is now eco only.

Travelling LON to AUS in July looking for cheapest OW business fares. Found flights originating in SNN (SNN-LHR-ORD-AUS) which take fare to £1670 compared to £4800 BA LHR-AUS direct.

Question is on the return the flight comes back to LHR where I would naturally hop-off rather than go back to SNN. Has anyone had issues doing this?

Thanks!

PS - any tips to do this cheaply welcome. Needs to be cash fare as I've just burned lots of Avios on a big redemption
