So definitely could have arrived later, but I understand that things can get a little crazy in CUN. It seems however that issues may more be related to the other terminals that fly more US-destined pax?
I always arrive to airports early. I've never seen any reason to be waiting twiddling my thumbs in a hotel room waiting to the last minute to go to the airport. I rather be early for situations that could and do happen at the last minute. Besides that, there's lounges and all kinds of restaurants in the airport.
