I got a response back a couple of weeks ago but have been too busy to investigate.
Thank you for your email regarding a points credit request. We have reviewed your Aeroplan account and confirm that the points credited for your flights is accurate. All flights credited have been reviewed by the airlines based on the fare rules and booking class eligibility, which are based on the original fare paid.
Points accumulation for travel on code-share flights operated by Star Alliance airlines is determined by the operating carrier. The booking class/fare option displayed on the ticket may differ from those applicable to the operating airline. Further to this conversion, code-share flights may be ineligible or provide only a percentage of the mileage flown. The operating airline is the final authority on qualification for points credits.
For reference, our airline partners and their accrual schemes are listed on our web site in the section Earn points. Any restrictions can be found via the terms and conditions applicable to each airline.
For questions on your purchased ticket, we invite you to contact the airline or travel agent directly.
We trust this aspect of the program has been clarified and thank you for your participation.
I finally had time to go look at the booking. My booking was Standard L and Standard K for the two bounds. Buried in the fare rules was:
- Earn 50% non-status Aeroplan Miles for Air Canada-operated flights.
So I guess no miles for these segments!
