These rates seem high but unfortunately are typical for the JBR area these days -- that August rate would have been unheard of in previous Augusts but I guess they're remaining bullish. I look forward to trying this hotel and was thinking over the dead of summer but not at those rates.

Dubai is really on fire now (although it has cooled somewhat since the first quarter of the year). E.g., take a look at the Royal Meridien and Ritz-Carlton rates. And Mina Seyahi is arguably a slightly worse location than the heart of JBR (e.g., where the Sheraton is).

There are major differences between the rates at the beach hotels and city hotels.
