The soon-to-open Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan is now taking reservations for November 2022.

Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, in 2022. Guam in 2021.

I am on the cusp of attaining lifetime Marriott Bonv°y Platinum Elite status, having already reached the requisite ten years at that level, and expecting to cross 600 nights in early 2023 -- with the credit of 15 nights for holding the Chase Marriott Visa card.

I probably have about around 300 nights with Hilton Honors, out of 1,000 required for lifetime Diamond Hilton Honors membership, as that was my primary hotel chain until 2011. (My exact number is not immediately available online, requiring a special request or phone call.)

Starting last year, I shifted most of our hotel stays and credit card spend to my wife's accounts, so she can earn lifetime Marriott Bonv°y Platinum Elite status, too. She only has three years so far, but is six years younger, thus having a longer life expectancy than I do. (We are both life members of the United Club and the Admirals Club of UA and AA, respectively.)

With the new Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan opening, and increased family travel expected in the Philippines and elsewhere in the next decade, I might be interested in signing my wife up for an IHG Chase MasterCard and IHG One Rewards account -- if a lifetime goal were available.

Until then, we will likely stick with Marriott and Hilton.
