I have also often been asked (when seated in the exit row) if I’m traveling with anyone under 15. Southwest, however, does not seem to have this policy.

Having said that, the GA or FA should have handled reseating the person who was being moved into the exit row, and shouldn’t have left that work for the passenger to do.
