Just another query about "upwards-only-fare-revision": does that mean that I'll only be able to rebook onto fare codes that start with "A" or "F". Am I right in understanding that because I have a DIF ticket I can rebook onto a flight with either I or A availability?
The following is the rule that I am thinking of, and I think that it is a standard part of BA's rules. I am not a ticketing expert, and I don't know the detail of how it works. But ISTR that in the past people have had problems with this rule by being made to pay a positive fare difference even though there was inventory and there were valid fares for it that would have resulted in a total lower than the existing ticket value. They couldn't change to the lower fare even if they were prepared to forego any refund; they had to pay up to go to the higher fare.
