From aircraft doors open at 13:38 to walking to the Avis bay after having collected our luggage and completed all the paperwork for the car took 52 minutes. Warning, because passengers are delayed due to being tested, the luggage backs up on the carousel as it’s not being collected so you have to pull some of the bags off to enable more bags to come through. Of course, if they stop the pointless testing, this problem will go away. We know of someone who tested positive through these tests and they received a text to self-isolate and upload their details to a site. The link was to a university site and didn’t work!
I am on that flight next week. What were the check in queues like that early in the morning? If you were in club was it a hot breakfast? Were you encouraged to mask up on the flight? Thanks
