Staying at Hyatt Centric in HK at the moment. This hotel property is definitely a worthy option. It is newer and located next to the harbor with east access to ferries, trams, buses and MTR. Room rates are lower than those non tourist spots.
HK is small enough that you are never away too far from any places of interest.
The best thing is there is a lounge here. It is probably the only Hyatt Centric lounge in the system. If there are other Centric lounges out there, we should start a thread with a list.
How's the breakfast?
I occasionally book away from hotels with lounges because I usually only use the lounge for breakfast and it's usually a significant downgrade from the restaurant breakfast.
Other options are to pay up for the standard rate and use Privé, or go to hotels where they let you have breakfast in the restaurant even though there's a lounge (one reason I love the GH Bangkok... I've stayed there multiple times and never even been inside the lounge)
