The participants on this board, IME, are pretty fair and balanced (no pun intended to that as a former trademark). We're sympathetic when the airline is wrong but don't reflexively take the passengers' side.

You got expiration extentions, you got email reminders, you had trivial ways to extend your miles, and chose to do none until it was too late.

True, AA has not followed the crowd in eliminating mileage expiration, but it's not like they reimposed expiration when no one was looking.

Sorry, no sympathy here.
