The CM flight from JFK would be overnight. the UA flight would be a daytime flight. IMO the daytime flight would be more tolerable on UA in E+ since it is only ~5 hrs (about a transcon) and you won't get much sleep. I've flown CM J as part of a stopover with a Caribbean award itinerary when the rules were less strict. The seat is OK. Service is great. I would take a daytime UA flight if it did it over again but that wasn't available at that time/routes. I'm not sure if it's worth redeeming on their barcolounger vs. saving for other intl J.
