I don't think the owner has changed. I think there were plans (but nothing concrete or formalised at the time of when I wrote the review - just murmurs so seemed a bit unclear) for refurbishments but I'm guessing because of Covid these have been held back a bit.
Did you manage to stay at the St. Regis Langkawi in the meantime? I will head there in June. Was initially thinking of booking the FS, but I don’t find the design appealing.
