While driving by yesterday it appears the DoubleTree Cleveland East - Beachwood (3663 Park East Dr, Beachwood, OH 44122-4315) has been deflagged.
Doing some research I found an article from December 2021 in the Cleveland Jewish News (
https://www.clevelandjewishnews.com/...c75dd5436.html) where it looks like the property has been sold pre-foreclosure to a group that owns neighboring property and
“As a neighboring property owner, I am deeply concerned with the current status of the hotel market,” Kertesz said. “Several hotels in the area have been foreclosed and others have transferred recently.”The hotel property has one tenant which will remain for the foreseeable future, according to Kertesz. He said they are currently evaluating all options for future development of the property.
I never stayed there but looking at reviews on Tripadvisor it doesn't seem like a huge loss. There are other Hilton affiliated properties in the immediate area.
ETA: A more recent article on Cleveland.com references a mixed use redevelopment (
https://www.cleveland.com/community/...otel-site.html)
with a $125-million plan to convert the the former hotel building into 181 luxury apartment units, and to build on the surrounding property a new building that would be home to 151 apartment units, office space and ground-floor restaurant/retail space
