At most, you are looking at a terminal change from T8 to T7, 5 minutes max. Morning flights into LAX should not have delayed arrival, so you should have more than 40 minutes, even after subtracting 15 minutes for getting there before door closure. Enough time even for #2.

Assuming you are coming off an INTL flight. Walk outside to stretch out your legs and get some fresh air. 10 minutes if you are a fast walker; 15 minutes for most.
