As for your actual ticket, call AA and ask them to email you a copy of the eTicket (not the reciept, the actual ticket) The baggage allowances and fees will be on it, and they are not (by DOT rules) allowed to charge you more. If they do, it's an easy refund.

As far as the fee being waived because of the CC, I doubt it, but I'm not sure, and it can't hurt to try.
