No, it's regardless of location... I use ProtonVPN which is very privacy-focused and I suspect that is the issue.

When I was using ExpressVPN which I canceled after their acquisition by a questionable company I had fewer problems.

But thanks for letting me know about incognito mode... I never use it... probably should.
