Pre was open Thursday evening. AF lounge was jammed, though they were not accepting priority pass.
I think that this is going to be permanent as there will be a Sky Club opening in Terminal E.
Your post make it sound like more of a hassle than it is. Terminal E & A are directly connected by a covered walkway with people movers. Its fully enclosed and air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter from the elements.
The 3-min walk will take you past the parking garage but there’s no going through a parking garage or taking the airport silver line bus needed.
I’m also not sure what you’re talking about regarding Terminal C. Are you suggesting someone who has a flight out of E should go there, and if pre check isn’t open then walk back to C, clear pre check and walk back to E? If that’s what you’re suggesting that’s not good advice.
The DL BOS terminal A-E-A connection is VERY simple. Yes, you need to re-clear security again at terminal E for the international flights, but you’d have to do that elsewhere like JFK if one is connecting from DL to their partners AF, KE, SV and SU who are in terminal 1. Or AA customers at JFK going from T8 to BA flights at T7. Same with LAX back when DL partnered with VA and didn’t have the buses running airside like they do now from T2 to TBIT.
