Did Sixt charge you for extra insurance? or was the price quoted on the website what you ended up paying? I saw when trying to make a booking, it says "third party insurance included" on the sixt site ,but it didn't go into much detail on what that insurance covered.
Before the final decision, I asked their support this very same question.
Their answer was:
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SL) protects the renter against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damages sustained in a result of an accident while the renter is operating a rental vehicle.
Primary coverage for third party liability claims up to $1 million without split limits!
The amount here is in Mexican pesos.
