Thanks for the reply. I agree with that idea for sure. I'm getting a little worried that I won't be able to use all of my TSUs before they expire so that's why I was considering this. It does sound like the odds are too low for it to be worth it.
If you’re a full globalist which I’m assuming you are I don’t see it as all that hard to find better use than a 1 night stay where you’ll already get the suite anyways.

To answer that question though, it isn't unheard of. I've read a number of DPs where a globalist with TSU was further upgraded. It ranges from impossible to a solid maybe (never likely) and is property dependent.
I would contend that it’s very unlikely to be done automatically, meaning that you’d have to ask a manager at check in to further upgrade you which is very awkward.
However, if it is a Hyatt Prive’ stay then your travel advisor may be able to secure the further upgrade much more easily.
