Anyone know if this is a general issue with US phone numbers, a specific carrier[s], or perhaps just some issue at the time. Im on T-Mobile if it makes a difference.
we are planning to come in June - arriving late from NRT and planning on checking in at a airport hotel (landslide) right away. Site says it works with non-SG numbers, and should be ready to activate in a few minutes after clearing immigration. Have no problem with the contract tracing in principle, but really concerned what happens if it won’t activate.
i can buy a Local SIM card, phone is unlocked, but would rather not if I don’t have too. Would also presumably have to do this before crossing immigration, since I’d need the number to put in first. Anyone know if ifs possible to get a SIM pre-immigration after midnight (would be arriving on NH at 12:35am or SQ ~1:15am).
also, maybe a bit OT - not sure if there’s another relevant thread, but wondering if anyone has experience with TT token for travelers. We’ll have my 7 year old daughter, who doesn’t have a phone, and don’t want to need one there if I can avoid it. I understand she might need a TT token if there is no app for her, and I’m not seeing an option to get one at the airport (which is kind of silly if they allow them for travelers now). I also assume there is no way to add a minor to either mine or my wife’s app, since she will be with us the whole time anyway?
