I get the ___03 rooms but have to sometimes ask for them at check-in since they more like to upgrade in advance up to the deluxe ocean view rooms but not beyond that until perhaps check-in. I was told they had four or five Globalists checking-in on Monday. As the standard suites were booked up over the Easter long weekend maybe that and the multi-night stay is why it was not possible for chad75 to land an upgrade to the “standard suites” — which are basically just junior studio suites because of the inclusion of the sofa.
Monday afternoon the fire alarms went off again because of the construction workers doing the drilling in the multi-purpose office building lobby. Firefighters did respond that time but they sort of knew the routine anyway and so there wasn’t much of a highly visible response.
The Kaisai restaurant voucher may be good for up to a year from when given it. Or at least there is some kind of one year language on it. I think the restaurant was supposed to be open Monday evening but expected to close earlier than usual operating hours based on (lack of) demand. Easter holiday weekend in a country that has people thinking of vacation time as sacred.
The last breakfast slot on weekdays is 9:15-10am, but it seems to me that it’s not tightly controlled so people could go in earlier or later without much issue if the place on the 14th floor isn’t packed.
Yes, then it was definitely 1203. The views we had look almost identical to the pictures that chad75 posted (including the Finnlines boat that was there last summer as well), although we also had more western exposure due to being on the corner. I think the 03 rooms must be designed as small conference or meeting rooms. That's the only reason I can think of why they'd have murphy beds there. We didn't have to ask for the upgraded room, it was done prior to our arrival. Although they may be more likely to do that when the hotel is fairly empty like it was last July. We stayed at the Radisson Malmo in July 2020 and it felt like were were the only guests there (and may have been).
