Thanks for the informative report. If you need to stay in south Mumbai, the IC Marine Drive is certainly worth checking out. It is a new boutique hotel (59 rooms or so, if memory serves). The rooms are great - the nicest I have seen in south Mumbai - and service is also very warm. Food at the restaurant RGs is good - the breakfasts are excellent. Rooms include free internet access (wired).

I have stayed twice, and have booked my next few trips to Mumbai there.
