I'm considering cancelling a west Jet flight and using the returned credit towards another fare.

How long does it take for the refund take to hit my Travel bank?

I would need to use the funds the same day I cancel.

With Ba and their BWC it takes maybe an hour at most-usually 10 15 minutes.
