What I don't understand is
1) How can the driver just "cancel" - presumably based on seeing the destination and saying "not gonna do that one" - without a decent reason? I'm sure if he saw Timbuktu or Los Angeles or someplace "dangerous" (in Lyft's thinking) or thought our traveling group looked shady/unsafe (in his thinking, we were all wearing Covid-required masks) he could cancel but can they really just do that? We weren't talking about a ride to the edge of the world, just a one that took him away from the multi-ride-per-night city center. He likely would want/accept one of those at some point in the night to "get him home" (e.g. out of the city and back toward his home area - might as well get paid to drive home). How does it put them with Lyft that they routinely (for a decent reason or not) cancel rides?
2) How come I didn't receive word of the cancellation? All I got was the "new driver is 20 mins away" note.
3) How come I didn't receive a reason for the cancellation? If we looked looked shady/unsafe, shouldn't we know that for future consideration (e.g. you weren't wearing a mask ... in the future ...). If the destination was too far, we should know that.
4) The rides ending up costing folks between $125 and $175 each way for the various traveling groups. That seems like a lot of $$ to turn down for lots of "short" rides in favor of some "multiple ride" incentive or racking up a lot of fuel surcharges. But, I guess that's why I'm not driving for Lyft.
5) Since the ride never actually began with this driver we have no way of going back into my ride history and commenting/complaining to Lyft?
