It's quite clear who wins the footprint game right now. With DFW, and DEN / IAD coming. 5 coming for Chase. What happens when your home airport has a lounge that is somewhat equal (or better), without a wait, without fees? It's hard to say people won't think about it. Maybe it's an add-on card. Maybe you reconsider what you hold. It's not the end of the Platinum by any stretch of imagination, but it will get some people thinking. I don't think as many people are AMEX loyal as much as they think they are.
The competition is good for all of us though.
