I used to enjoy popping into Crazy Elephant in Clarke Quay for a few drinks and listening to the live music....unfortunately looks like the pandemic did them in or they moved as they are closed now. But lots of restaurants and bars in the Clarke and Robertson Quay area and easy walking around. Good views of the Marina Bay Sands from the bridges as well (in case you want a different view away from the waterfront). Dallas Cafe and Bar is a good spot to grab a drink and people watch along the waterfront if you are waiting for the light show. Check some bars online if you can, see when they run their 50% off happy hour (if they even do it anymore)...as you probably know, Singapore is crazy expensive, especially for alcohol. I was there just as Covid was starting to break out in Jan. 2020, and I'm guessing prices have only gone up. I'll be spending a night or two in July and probably Sept as I pass through and looking forward to it.
