As a relatively regular guest at this hotel, I must say that if you don't see anything special about it, you probably aren't the target audience. We love coming down and staying here. This is a hotel for people coming down on the weekend to party in gaslamp. That's literally their bread and butter, you can see it by looking at the room rates and how easy it is to make a single night reservation on the weekdays and how *difficult* that can be on the weekends.

It definitely has more street noise than many other hotels, but with their little sound machine it's pretty easy to get a full night's sleep without earplugs.

This is a hotel for young people who want to be seen at the pool and go out partying at night. If that's not you, that's fine!

Edit: The one thing I hate about this hotel is how incredibly difficult it can be if you just want to book a single Saturday night. Good freaking luck. Oftentimes they won't even let you pay cash for a single Saturday night. Only hotel I've ever seen like this.
