Last time I called the person who picked up had a very clear Indian accent (I again add - nothing against Indians per se, but it was clear she was reading from a script, asking me a series of canned questions about the sort of restaurants I was looking for, unlike every previous time I'd called them, where it was more of a fluid conversation). She also asked me if I wanted the recommendations right away, as we were on the phone, which means she was planning on just looking up some restaurants right then and there, rather than consulting anyone else with any expertise (Paris in this case), also totally different from my prior interactions.

One other FT member said they also got someone with an Indian accent last time they called. Perhaps a concidence, perhaps not.

I decided to try again just now. More than 30 minute hold time! We'll see who picks up.
