Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Classic Room/standard, received 1 King Premium Club Castellana View on 7th Floor. I stayed at this hotel in Feb 2020 and received a much better upgrade (King Suite on top floor with Terrace overlooking Castellana)

How are the rooms?
This room was pretty small with high windows that opened slightly. There was a small foyer and hallway leading to the bathroom first then the bedroom area. The bedroom had a small table and 2 chairs plus a desk so there wasn't much extra space. Nespresso maker.

How is the exec. lounge?
It's open from 11am to 11pm with beer and non alcoholic drinks plus light snacks are available all day. 2 hot appetizers plus wine/alcohol are available from 6pm to 8pm (same snacks as during the day, though).
Breakfast is in the main restaurant downstairs - the welcome letter indicated Club guests would be seated in a special area but not really sure if that happened or not. The buffet had a lot of hot and cold options plus made to order eggs (order from the waiter) Cava is free flowing, too. Wait staff is were very attentive.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Bottles of balsamic vinegar and olive oil, plus some pastries.

How was the minibar?
Empty. Was told I could order from room service and it would be taken off the bill. The first night there I ordered a bottle of wine but had issues getting the charge removed when I checked out. The front desk staff didn't realize it was supposed to be removed. When I mentioned I was Royal Ambassador and the charge should be removed, he took off 15 Euros for the Ambassador F&B credit. I didn't realize it until I was in the taxi on the way to the airport so had to email to get it resolved.

What was good and what was bad?

The lounge was enjoyable in the evenings
It's a beautiful property

Not as good an upgrade as my previous stay
Empty mini bar
Having to deal with getting the room service/mini bar credit removed after I checked out
