I received an E-mail almost one year ago about choosing an elite choice reward as a PlatinumPro. I haven't chosen it yet and can't figure out how to do that, or maybe I'm too late. I can't see an option to select a reward in my wallet online. There is no deadline in the E-mail and so I assumed it would be one year (end of this month).
Two calls to American and both times I was transferred to reservations, and they weren't of help. Does anyone know if I'm too late? Thanks.
I've had an issue with choosing my Choice Rewards as EXP. I had selected one gift of Gold status and 2 SWU last fall. When the Gold status didn't seem to "take", I called and after some runaround, was explained to me that because the person I was gifting to had previously gifted status, had to wait for that to expire. So they decided to reverse that selection, so I could reselect at the end of March. Well, they reversed the wrong thing and the choice - took away my 2 SWU and left the Gold status gift hanging out there. Multiple phone calls and notes in my file ... long story short ... finally got the Gold Status gift squared away this week. Today I went into my wallet to re-select the SWU, and no choices there when I click on WALLET. Nothing at all except the same old 4 boxes with "AAdvantage bonus miles", "500-mile upgrades", "Systemwide upgrade" (which stands at 0 since they took back the two I had previously selected) and "Your preferred payment method." Nothing about the 2021 choice rewards and the fact that I should still have one left, that was there last week. Of note, this is on the website.
Before I call AA again, I just want to make sure I'm looking in the right place. And shouldn't it say somewhere in my account what I had selected? Thanks for any help. D
