Through the chimney. I'm afraid I can't tell you how, I've never tried.
What I can tell you is that those seals are fit for purpose. Some of my houses are at least 60 years old, and the jenever is still merrily splashing around inside. The older ones come with a genuine natural cork and a red wax seal. One of mine has somehow lost the seal, and the cork, though still intact, has descended halfway down the chimney. The jenever in that one has evaporated, but that's the sole exception to the rule.
Those houses are not made of glass, by the way. It's Delft Blue faïence.
