What you could do is to follow signs for Connecting Flights at arrival, enjoy the TK Business Lounge upon arrival. Then head landside, and after checking-out from the YOTEL landside clear passport control and security and head back airside and to the lounge.

As a clarification, you would be allowed to the TK Lounge based on your departure within the next 24 hours rather than arriving in J from London thus only present your IST-ORD boarding pass at Istanbul when entering the lounge.

Another note is that different to Lufthansa's lounge structure, there isn't any premium lounge for *G's that is eqv. to the Senator Lounge, you would be able to use the Miles&Smiles Lounge ( *G lounge ) or the Business Lounge but the offerings at both lounges are totally identical. The only difference is that the M&S Lounge has a cinema room and the Business Lounge has an art gallery with the Business Lounge being less crowded.
Many thanks - much appreciated. I propose to stay in the Yotel airside, not landside, but it is good to know I can use the business lounge 24 hours before my connecting flight. I was really irritated with Asiana at ICN (Not KUL as I said in my previous post - goodness knows what I was thinking as I have never been to KUL) when in the middle of my flight to an obscure part of China they would not let me into the lounge as the China flight was leaving the next day (but was the earliest connecting flight I could catch).
