I was not successful. My bid was 2K FF points + $620 although i wasn't hopeful as there was only 1 x J left as per experflyer a day before departure.

Now, I am keeping an eye on the flight back (27.04, MNL to SYD). Expertflyer is saying there's at least 9 x J seats.

I noticed that 2 days leading to the flight, QF tends to reduce the minimum bid (for this sector) from $600 to $400.

Should I place my bid 2-3 days before the flight?

Any tips and recommendations?
