NYP to Trenton is as low as $20 (no advance purchase) - I'd pay $3 more and save almost 1hr instead of taking NJT!
NYP to PHL for $24!!! Cheaper than NJT+SEPTA
NYP to/from PHL is probably not an error. Had multiple travel purchases last year for $19 each way.
You can get NJTransit pricing down to $11.90 per trip each way if you buy 10-trip (no expiration dates). Even at $10 at Amtrak, I would probably skip it - its schedule reliability sucks, which means you might miss your flight, might miss the train if you flight is delayed in arrival.
Also, don't you have to take the particular Amtrak train you are booked for, not that there are many to choose from with EWR stops; whereas you can jump on any NJTrain trains.
