The first time the lady took out a binder, and eventually figured out what to do and even gave me a printed transaction history with the balance remaining in both USD and Cad. The 2nd day, another lady didn't know what to do, took my GC to a different office. Later came back to say it's redeemed, but didn't know the balance on the GC or how to get it.

Marriott needs to change their system to be like most stores, to tap or swipe a GC then enter the redemption amount.
Just found out at that Westin, the 2nd day when I paid the resort fee + breakfast, I was still charged on my CC. It turned out that lady who took my GC to another office and came back to say everything's done, taken care of, actually only redeemed $20 on my GC. She wasn't able (don't know how) to give me a printout of the redemption or balance of my GC, so didn't give me anything. I should've later ask for a copy of the final folio/statement. Anyway, she redeemed $20 which was not the amount owing, and the rest was charged to my CC.

I'm not happy she didn't tell me that's what she actually did.
