What route are you flying on? Scandinavian departures generally use self-service boarding and there is no one to check what your carry-on allowance is. This is also the case at many outstations but it varies by the origin airport.
By the book, there is no extra carry-on allowance for *G, except EBD and Pandeon.
I'll be flying ex ARN on Monday. I just have a rather small laptop bag, which fits on 2 dimensions, but on 3rd one exceeds a litte bit. It would certainly fit under the seat in front of me, but if they have some metal box at the gate to check by cm-s each dimension, it would fail.
