I've had very strange and very mixed experiences with Go Light. Flying 4 - 8 times a month since January, gate agents have either checked every single Go Light ticket holder or ignored them completely. It has genuinely been a 50:50 split between those that check and those that don't. For the record, this includes both out-stations where contracted staff might be being incentivised for every extra bag they sell and SAS own ground hangling at ARN.
Note that even with self-service boarding, Go Light ticket holders board in group F, the very last group, and I've seen gate agents on the busiest flights allow other groups to board first, and then they personally check every Go Light ticket holder in the last group.
I've also (as noted in another thread) had two trips from London LHR where Go Light has mysteriously included boarding in group D and 8kg hand luggage on the boarding pass.
