I bought an old model Rimowa Limbo, made in 2015 or maybe 2014 new in box (I thought was left over stock). I heard people say the quality of Rimowa has declined over the years so assumed an older model would be better quality than a new one and it was about the same price as the essential lite new. I live in Japan and counterfeits are somewhat rare here but they are definitely increasing. Anyway, I managed to register the serial number and says the warranty ran out 2020 based on manufacture date so that’s why I assumed 2014/2015 manufacture date. The Rimowa logo seems to be stuck on with glue and it fell off right away. Around the frame the case seems to be coming away a little in parts and the lining seems to be glued down.

I did receive a user manual and there was a sticker and stamp inside. I also got a plastic dust cover.

Anyway I’m wondering if some of these problems are because of 7 years or storage in a box or it could be a fake.
