If view not important I agree that the Westin is probably the best for what you want .It is much more central and convenient for transport.The Observatatory,Park Hyatt and W Sydney are all on the Harbour and have much nicer views but not as convenient for transport.
Have stayed at the Westin several times and the service is always good.
