The 3 or 4 cabin layout does not really matter for the A330. The only update to the A333 D1 cabin during PS install is new seat cushions. If you're hoping for a suite, the only way to get one on a A330-type is with the A339.

That said, even the long-in-the-tooth A330 seats are not quite as dated as those on the 767, and they are quite a bit roomier.
